HS Baseball Playoffs: Tomball Comes Back to Force Game 3

TOMBALL, TX -- The Woodlands and Tomball met once again for game 2 at Tomball Memorial High School on Friday night. Tomball fell to The Woodlands in game 1 and looked to tie the series up and force a game 3.

In the top of the second The Woodlands found themselves up 1-0 as a tank left the field giving them an early lead.

Although a few innings later, Tomball would answer back with their own solo tank to tie up the game in the bottom of the fifth.

The action would heat up in the seventh inning as Xavier Jimenez would hit the outfield wall and bring in two runners. The Woodlands would find themselves up 3-1 heading into the bottom of the inning.

Tomball would give The Woodlands a hard time as they loaded up the bases early in the final inning. The Woodlands would walk a runner in, giving Tomball another run towards the lead.

With a knock to the short stop, Tomball found themselves rounding the bases as an error would happen at second base. This would essentially end the game with two runs crossing the plate.

Tomball would force game 3 against the Woodlands off a 4-3 win in game 2.
