THE WOODLANDS, TX – Though we have a month to the day before summer officially begins, the weather is raring to get a jump start; heat is on the horizon.

The weather is trying to find its footing this week

Today we’ll experience some partly cloudy skies all day, until early evening, when the coverage will plummet and the stars will come peeking out. Right around the same time, the humidity will soar and things will get a tad sticky. Our high today will make it up to about 85 – with a couple of degrees added to the heart index – and late tonight we’ll enjoy a low of 65, outright relatively chilly weather.

Tuesday will be another day of partly cloudy weather; the maxed-out humidity will get the high up to 90 as we flirt with the slightest chances of rain. As day turns to night, watch the clouds make a comeback as our chances of rain increase and the low struggles to make it to under 70 degrees.

For Wednesday, we’ll get some cooler weather – with a high of ‘only’ 86 – but with a much greater chance of afternoon thunderstorms to go along with it. The rains will help cool the overnight low down to the mid 60s, and they should continue on and off all night long into Thursday morning.

We’re back to partly cloudy weather on Thursday, with the barest chances of continuing storms. We’ll stay in the upper 80s for our high today, and enjoy a period of relative calm with moderate temps, moderate winds, moderate cloud coverage, and moderate humidity, and a low in the mid 60s.

In fact, Friday will be a carbon copy of the day before; indeed, the entire next several days will mimic each other, with partly cloudy skies under temps reaching the mid 80s in the days and mid 60s in the nights.

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
