HS Baseball Playoffs: The Woodlands Heads to the Regional Finals

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Highlanders are facing Cy Woods in the next round of the UIL Playoffs. The teams will meet up at Sam Houston State University this weekend to compete in the Regional Finals. The winner of this series will move on to the Regional Championship round where they will face the Johnson Jaguars or the Westlake Chaparrals.

The Woodlands has looked near unbeatable in their past series with a strong bullpen and equally as strong lineup. With Ethan Coronel, Brayden Sharp and others on the mound, Cy Woods is going to have a hard time getting hits off The Woodlands pitchers.

Led by long time head coach Ron Eastman, The Woodlands looks to pass the Regional Round and head to the state round for the first time in a couple of seasons.

The Woodlands have strong pitching but their hitting has improved tremendously over the past couple of series. Anyone on the roster could barrel a hit into the outfield or even hit tanks which makes The Woodlands an offensive threat to any defense.

All games will be played at Sam Houston State University on Friday-Saturday.
