Believe it or not, summer break is already winding down; fortunately, The Woodlands is filled with all kinds of events for adults, students, and families to enjoy before the school bell rings and all the vacation time is used up. Here’s out list of the top 5 we think you’d like.

Wednesday, July 12

Diya Life Coaching with Anita Bangale
is offering a special workshop series: Rock Your Life: Hacks for a Happy and Healthy Teen Life, starting tonight at 6 p.m. Have a blast in this four-week series. Are you – or do you know – a tween/teen looking for ways to live a happier and healthier life? Join Dr. Bangale for this exciting event where you’ll learn all the hacks you need to rock your life. She will share tips and tricks on how to manage stress, deal with drama, build healthy habits, and improve your overall well-being. The event will take place as a series of 4 workshops on Wed Jul 12, July 19, July 26, and August 2 at Buy the Book (25162 Grogans Park Drive). Don't miss this opportunity to connect with other teens and gain valuable insights that will help you thrive/ Each week we'll focus on different topics. Thursday, July 13
If you have any students at home who are dreading the passing days
and the looming of the new school year, send them over to the South Regional Library for their fun-filled Teen Event: The End of Summer Party, happening from 6 - 8 p.m. Join the library staff for a party to celebrate the end of our summer reading program. Pizza, ice cream, games, raffles and more! This is a come and go event, so stop by anytime. For ages 13-17.vRegistration is encouraged so they know how much food to get!

Friday, July 14
For some crack-of-dawn family fun, check out Fishing with the Sunrise
starting at 7:30 a.m. at Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center. Join in for a morning of fishing at Bluegill Pond. They will have fishing gear available for you to use if you do not have your own. Bait will also be supplied. The equipment and bait are first come first served. Bring a chair and plenty of water to spend the morning catching memories and fish.

It’s time to cheer on the little ones with the 20th Annual YMCA Kids Triathlon
, part of the YMCA Summer Race Series, presented by Texas Children's Hospital of The Woodlands. Children, ages 6 – 12, have until July 11 to register and experience the fun and excitement of triathlon. It’s a morning of friendly competition and physical activity that can lead to a lifetime of fitness. The event is designed for all levels. Previous triathlon experience is not required. The Kids Triathlon benefits the YMCA Annual Campaign, which ensures everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y. Proceeds from the event will Help the Y multiply its impact in 2023. Swim+Bike+Run = FUN! Triathlon is an exciting sport for young children because it involves three activities that every child enjoys – swimming, cycling and running. Triathlon is an individual event with segments running consecutively until all three elements are completed. The event features 7 age divisions: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 years. Boys and girls will compete separately in their age groups. The top 3 finishers, male and female, in each age group will receive a special award. All participants will receive a goodie bag, t-shirt, and finisher medal. For ages 6-9 it consists of a 50-meter swim, 1-mile bike, and ¼-mile run; for ages 10-12 it’s a 100-meter swim, 2-mile bike, and ½-mile run.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s 2023 season continues
with a combo blast from the past and present. Tears for Fears with Cold War Kids take the stage tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. This concert is part of the Xfinity Concert Series. Be sure to check out the event link to learn more about the intractable rules and regulations of the Pavilion, especially when it comes to what you can bring through the gates!
