Montgomery County Emergency Communications District (MCECD) Board
The Montgomery County Emergency Communication District Board consists of five members who serve staggered terms of two years. Two are appointed by a majority vote of cities within the county, two others are appointed by the County Commissioners Court, and the remaining member is appointed by the fire chiefs of the volunteer fire departments. The current city board members are Kathie Reyer and Paul Virgadomo. The Virgadamo position expires on September 30. Council voted 4 - 0 for the reappointment of Virgadamo.

SHPD Vehicle Purchase
Council approved the purchase of three fully equipped Tahoes in the 2022 - 2023 Operating Budget at $75,000 each, fully upfitted. Due to supply and demand issues, the quote for Tahoes is now $91,534 upfitted per vehicle. Staff can reduce the cost of the upfit by the use of a trade-in for a 2014 Tahoe at $8,000. The reduction of the cost of the computer, purchased previously, along with the Tahoe trade-in brings the total purchase of the vehicle and upfit to $79,634. Currently, the GL has available funds of $87,197. Council voted 4 - 0 to purchase the new Tahoe and to use the 2014 Tahoe as a trade-in.
