City of Shenandoah Mayor John Escoto Endorses Candidate Skeeter Hubert for State Rep Dist. 15

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Skeeter Hubert candidate for State Representative in House District 15 has been endorsed by the Mayor of Shenandoah, John Escoto, and Jim Pollard, City Councilman for Shenandoah, who both support a candidate who owned a local business and will advocate for policies to benefit small businesses.

As a State Representative for House District 15, Skeeter Hubert will be committed to:

• Education – Parental Rights to determine type of education for their children and maintaining funds for public education.
• Economic Development – Eliminate government bureaucracy challenge for businesses.
• Collaboration with Local Municipalities – foster relationships with The Woodlands Township, Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah to have power in Austin.
• Fiscally Conservative Taxes – lower or maintain the current tax base for our residents.

Hubert has an impressive background in community service. He has served as a trustee for the Conroe Independent School District since 2014 and lead the CISD Board of Trustees as President since 2020. Skeeter Hubert believes it is important to demonstrate community values by getting involved. His other past leadership roles were in local nonprofits serving the community-The Woodlands Community Association for Cochran’s Crossing as an elected director, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce as an Executive Board Member, Montgomery County Emergency Assistance, (now Community Assistance Center) as Chairman of the Board, Board Member for Education for Tomorrow, Connecting Families Board Member, the YMCA of Conroe Board Director, and Life Purpose Youth Foundation as a Board Member.

“As a leader in the community I know the district deserves someone who will respectfully demonstrate our values and get the needs of our district accomplished. I am a fiscal conservative who knows how to get things done,” said Hubert. “I have proven experience confronting our community and we need a Representative in Austin who can be responsive and demonstrate initiative to make a positive difference. I have the energy and determination to fight the culture that threatens our society.”

Skeeter and wife Bonnie of 26 years together have four children and two grandchildren. Together they have dedicated their lives to community service and building a solid foundation of leadership, advocating for youth, and demonstrating Christian faith. Skeeter has volunteered as President of the South Montgomery County Buyers Group for the Montgomery County Fair, volunteered as coach for Conroe Area Youth Baseball, and South Montgomery County Youth Football teams, and Boy Scouts of America Troop 1045 Assistant Scout Master.

Skeeter Hubert is a native Texan, originally from San Antonio, attended John Marshall High School, learned about parliament procedure through his FFA experience, was a Texas All Star Track athlete and attended Sam Houston State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a minor in Business. At the age of 31, Skeeter launched his own investment and insurance firm and held it for ten years until he sold it. After joining Woodforest Financial Services in 2014, Hubert was Senior Vice President, and in 2022 he became Principal Insurance Agent of Woodforest Insurance Partners.

House District 15 in Texas represents the municipalities of Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, The Woodlands, and north Spring communities including Imperial Oaks, Fox Run, Benders Landing, Grand Oaks, Woodsons Reserve, Birnham Woods, and Spring Trails.
