Shenandoah encourages water conservation during heat wave

SHENANDOAH, TX - The City of Shenandoah is encouraging residents to conserve water, and has posted a series of water conservation tips to assist in managing water bills and use-of-water.

July saw record water usage


June 22 was the last substantial rain event to date. July of 2023 is the highest water pumpage total ever in the history of Shenandoah with 58,606,000 gallons pumped; typically, July pumpage is 37,548,000, meaning that July experienced a record 56 percent increase.

'Some residents are experiencing higher utility bills due to increased water use. If you have questions about your bill, call 281-298-5522 and select the UB option or email billing@shenandoahtx.us. Please refer to these water conservation tips and take steps to minimize water use as much as possible,' said the City in a statement.
