Vietnam Veterans receive recognition From Gold Star Mothers at Honor Cafe

CONROE, TX -- On Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 a.m., the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., Department of Texas-Oklahoma and the Greater Southeastern Texas Chapter hosted a number of Vietnam Veterans at Honor Café, 103 North Thompson, Conroe, Texas. The purpose of the program is to honor the service of Vietnam Veterans as a part of the Department of Defense’s “Vietnam War Commemoration.” The American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., Department of Texas-Oklahoma is a commemorative partner in this effort and seeks to locate as many Veterans as possible to recognize, honor and thank them.

Carla Wicks, American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., Department of Texas-Oklahoma President, offered the pin presentation to each Veteran with accompanying Presidential Proclamations.
