THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The fourth week of district play ended with offenses showing off in a major way. The winners commanded the scoreboards while defenses struggled to keep up the pace.

Oak Ridge vs. Conroe

A rushing game won the day for the Oak Ridge War Eagles over Conroe in a Thursday night matchup.

The running backs served multiple purposes for Oak Ridge throughout the game. They served as a steady method of consuming the clock and limiting the opportunities that Conroe may have had on offense while also tiring the Tiger defenders by keeping them on the field. Frankie Arthur was the headliner for the War Eagles with multiple scores on the night in a commanding 48-21 win for Oak Ridge.

The win keeps the War Eagles firmly in fourth place, with the rest of the district below them at sub .500.

Caney Creek vs. College Park

College Park traveled to Moorhead Stadium where the Caney Creek Panthers awaited them with the hopes of snagging an upset win.

The Cavaliers did not keep those hopes up long. Kam Montgomery and the College Park offense went to work and hung 35 points on the Panthers in the opening quarter while the defense anchored their performance. The Panthers were held scoreless through the first half before managing to tack on 14 points in the third and fourth quarters. Despite these scores, the Panthers never challenged the lead. Some insurance points by the Cavaliers in the second half ensured that the team would come away with a 52-14 win that kept the Cavs unbeaten during the district slate.

The Woodlands vs. Grand Oaks

Trying to keep their unbeaten streak in the district alive, the Woodlands hosted Grand Oaks on Friday night.

Grand Oaks went down early to the Highlanders in the first quarter, but the offense kept clawing towards the endzone. A 14-13 lead was not enough for the Woodlands as they rocketed up the score following the conclusion of the first quarter. The Woodlands marched out to an insurmountable lead as the game began to wind down. Grand Oaks ultimately fell 56-13, with the Highlanders remaining undefeated in district.

Willis vs. Cleveland

The most prolific offense and defense in CISD hosted the Cleveland Indians, who were searching for their first win of the season.

The tone was set from the opening snap, as Willis scored on a passing touchdown to start the game. 48 points were posted by the Wildkats in the first quarter, while the Indians could only muster seven in response. Willis extended their lead in the second quarter by adding 20 more points on the arm of D.J. Lagway. A touchdown in the third quarter would be the last points scored for Willis while also claiming the most amount of points ever scored by the Wildkats in program history, ending 75-14.

The Indians added a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but it only masked the dominant victory put up by Willis, making them 6-0 for the first time in their history.
