Woman arrested for house fire in Magnolia area

MAGNOLIA, TX -- Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office Investigators are continuing their investigation into a Sunday morning fire that destroyed a 6800 square foot home in the 28000 block of Nichols Sawmill in southwest Montgomery County. Investigators have determined that the fire was intentionally set and they have arrested Sarah Ariel Archie, 30, of Long Beach, California. Archie has been charged with Arson of a Habitation, a 1st Degree Felony, with a bond set at $50,000. Archie remains in the Montgomery County Jail as of Monday morning.

MCFMO Investigators will be working with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues.

The MCFMO would like to recognize the Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department who responded to the scene and assisted with the initial investigation.
