The Park at Pine Market Opens

MONTGOMER, TX -- Following the opening of several businesses in Pine Market at Woodforest this year, the open-air retail center recently celebrated the opening of something a bit different — The Park at Pine Market.

This active green space located in the heart of Pine Market will play host to concerts, special events and impromptu gatherings, fulfilling the vision for Pine Market defined when it started development in 2018.

“We always envisioned Pine Market as being not just a convenience for residents of Woodforest, but a draw for the region,” said Virgil Yoakum, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Woodforest. “We also wanted Pine Market to be a walkable, outdoor center, and the park enhances that goal.”

Surrounded by businesses, The Park at Pine Market features a turf lawn for easy maintenance, a covered stage and restrooms. Bistro and picnic tables provide seating, and lawn games invite play.

The park opened with a carnival event in September that included rides, inflatables, carnival games, face painting, balloon artists and juggling jesters. An events calendar quickly filled with concerts and seasonal activities.

“The planned events will be complemented with picnics on sunny days, after-school ice cream outings, coffees with friends and more as shoppers relax and enjoy all that Pine Market has to offer,” Yoakum said.

More than two dozen businesses are now open in Pine Market, with a number of restaurants and services — Be May Salon, Orioli’s Cucina Italiana, Tosca Italian Gourmet and Twisted Oak Bar + Kitchen — coming soon.
