THE WOODLANDS, TX -- College Park and The Woodlands battle it out once a year in what is known as The War of the Woods. This has been going on for many years and has become one of the most anticipated rivalries in the 13-6A district.

From the opening whistle, The Woodlands looked poised and composed. The Highlanders would dominate on defense, collapsing the College Park pocket with ease forcing quick three and out situations. Farrakhan would manage to score from 18 yards out with just a couple minutes left in the quarter.

Things would continue to head south for the Cavaliers as The Woodlands would also dominate on offense. Mabrey would connect with Walker, Farrakhan, and Rabel before the half was over to give the Highlanders a solid 35-0 lead.

Heading into halftime, Coach Coats with College Park would just say, “We have to execute.”

In the second half Farrakhan would find his third touchdown which would extend The Woodlands lead to 42-0. College Park would try to respond but again the Highlander defense would set up a brick wall forcing them to punt the ball away.

With one last touchdown, The Woodlands would win 2023 The War of the Woods 49-0.

College Park will have to regroup and face the Oak Ridge War Eagles next week, while The Woodlands takes on Caney Creek on the road.
