THE WOODLANDS, TX – While it’s nice to haul the winter clothing out of deep storage and enjoy some cooler and wetter weather, The Woodlands has decided to give us a mildly warm and bright break from the rains of last week and the thunderstorms on the horizon for next week.

70s and 80s are a sign of the times

Today we’ll inch up into the mid 70s for a high, and a low-but-rising dew point and dropping humidity will keep the heat index at the same level as the natural high. A couple of clouds may dot the sky, but nothing to keep the sunny skies from blazing away all day. By early evening we’ll be down into the 60s and settle at 54 for an overnight low. Some perfect outdoors evening fun for the entire family is Lights, Heights & Bites at Texas TreeVentures in Creekside.

A warming trend will continue on Saturday, as the morning temperatures will rapidly stretch up into the upper 70s or maybe even 80 for a high. The slightest chances of some raindrops midday and a few clouds may threaten to dampen your spirits, but don’t let them. Moderate winds out of the southeast will keep things cool and kites in the air. Enjoy the best of both worlds – indoors and outdoors – at Harvest in the Hills. We’ll enjoy another overnight in the 50s.

The warmth will continue and the clouds will mount as Sunday dawns, with maximum humidity in the morning and a steadily rising dew point. Another day of partly cloudy skies will get the temps up into the low 80s, but continuing moderate winds and a near-zero chance of rain will make it perfect outdoors weather. All weekend long is the Creekside Campout that you might want to seriously consider. Our Sunday overnight low will be a slightly warmer 61.

While next week may start off with the warm, dry trend continuing, by week’s end we may be in outright winter weather…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
