THE WOODLANDS, TX – We’re still a couple of weeks or so away from the official start of winter, but you’d think our current weather would at least pretend like we’re in the waning weeks of autumn instead of acting like it’s a mild summer day anywhere else. But here we are.

This week has perfect weather... if it were a late summer day

Our Monday has been breezy but bright, and we’ve already hit our high of 67. The winds have died down and our humidity has bottomed out for a bit. The temps are about to nosedive into the 40s for an overnight low under mainly starry skies with a half moon throwing in extra illumination.

Tuesday will be as bright and sunny as they come, with morning temps quickly soaring up to the low 70s for a brief moment before cratering back down to the low 40s for a low. A steady dew point and increasing pressure system will keep things cool and calm and comforting.

Wednesday will be another sunny day with a high temperature that won’t even make it out of the 60s. Around midday, the pressure will start to drop, and with it an increase of clouds and humidity.

Thursday will come out of an overnight low of 42 but will quickly roar up to 69 as the clouds increase by the hour. As the pressure continues to drop and the humidity keep increasing, we’ll feel warm, helped only by some gusty midday winds out of the southeast. The mercury will level out and our low will only be 57.

As Friday hits, the clouds will be in full force all day as the pressure finally bottoms out and some rain chances appear. We’ll actually make it into the mid 70s for a high, and that evening we’ll actually get a degree or two added to it in the heat index thanks to the high humidity.

While things may come to a head and a breaking point on Saturday with some thunderstorms, the dropping dew point, waning humidity, and rising-again pressure will soon bring things back to a bright, cool late autumn…

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
