THE WOODLANDS, TX – Commissioner James Noack's Montgomery County Precinct 3 office continues to proactively safeguard against the impact of winter storms by staying ahead of Mother Nature. Following their participation in a winter storm conference with TxDOT, they've made strategic investments in pre-treatment equipment. Among these innovations is a 270-gallon tank filled with a specialized brine solution, which is loaded onto one of their fleet trucks. Equipped with spray nozzles at the hitch, their crews can efficiently treat bridges before freezing temperatures and rain set in.

The brine solution is applied in advance and serves as a preventive measure but can also be re-applied to break down any ice that may build-up over time. By adopting this method, Commissioner Noack's teams aim to keep our roads open during freezing temperatures, overcoming challenges that may have led to closures in the past.

"Our commitment is to ensure the safety and accessibility of our community's roads, even in the face of winter's challenges," said Noack.
