2024 Taste of the Town is bringing something for every palate Jan. 25

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Once again, the annual Taste of the Town, hosted by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, is coming to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. Last year was its first return to the indoor venue, after a two-year hiatus where COVID inspired the Chamber to turn the one-day ‘come here’ event to a weeks-long scavenger hunt type traveling adventure to the individual restaurants and eateries.

Taste of the Town has been a Woodlands area mainstay for 38 years, typically set at the Marriott in a huge ballroom where dozens of restaurants, bars, eateries, dineries, and vendors set up shop to allow the attendees sample their wares. The presenting sponsor this year for the event is Visit The Woodlands, the official convention and visitors bureau of the Township.

Approximately 3,000 people are expected to attend the event, taking place on January 25 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $100 to $15,000 are still available, as well as a select few spots for restaurants to set up and mete out samples of their delectable wares.

“Taste of the Town is a paradise for foodies looking to fulfill their cravings and sample local area cuisine,” said JJ Hollie, President and CEO of the Chamber. “For one low price, guests can sample mouth-watering appetizers, entrees, desserts, pastries, and drinks from more than forty of the area’s finest restaurants, caterers, bakeries and beverage companies.”

For the 37th annual Taste of the Town that took place last January, judges voted on three different categories – Best Appetizer, Best Entrée, and Best Dessert. Attendees were able to choose their fan favorite through the People’s Choice Award. Best Appetizer was awarded to Del Frisco’s Grille; Best Entrée was awarded to Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar; Best Dessert was awarded to Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen; and the People’s Choice Award was given to Amrina by popular vote.
