MCTX Sheriff Investigates Shooting on Rebecca Lane in Willis

WILLIS, TX -- UPDATE: On January 22, 2024, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives identified 21-year-old Abraham Caleb Ramirez of Conroe, TX as the shooter in this incident. Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives along with MCSO SWAT, Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team, Willis Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and MCSO Crime Scene Investigators, executed an arrest warrant at the suspect’s residence where Ramirez was taken into custody. Ramirez was charged with the Murder of Roberto Aguilar and is currently confined at the Montgomery County Jail.

On January 19, 2024, at approximately 11:40 p.m. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Officers with the Willis Police Department responded to the 100 block of Rebecca Drive, Willis, Texas, in reference to an assault with a firearm call. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a deceased Hispanic male lying in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds.


Detectives with the Homicide and Violent Crimes Division, along with Crime Scene Investigators, are currently on the scene conducting their investigation. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Roberto Aguilar from Willis, Texas. No other information on the investigation or suspect description is available at this time.
