LATEST UPDATE: Lt Gov Dan Patrick and SD Governor Kristi Noem at Border

EAGLE PASS, TX -- Eagle Pass, Texas is in for a rather interesting few days, with the convergence of Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, scheduled to tour and speak at Shelby Park here this afternoon. In addition, a Patriot Truckers Convoy is enroute to rally in Eagle Pass, amongst other cities located on the border in the next few days. All of this is in reaction to Texas defying the Federal government and Supreme Court orders to vacate the park, to allow U.S. Border Patrol agents to let migrants pass illegally into the United States.

Texas continues to fortify its position at the park with added razor wire on top of transport containers making it physically impossible for illegal border crossers to gain entrance into the Shelby Park. Governor Greg Abbott has even expanded the boundary of the park, and fortified those areas as well. Some civilians are concerned about a possible armed confrontation between the Texas State Guard, and the Biden Administration, but the chances of that happening are low. The use of federal soldiers would go against the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which forbids federal troops being used for law enforcement purposes with the approval of Congress. Only the Texas State Army National Guard is authorized to intervene. A 2013 Pentagon Directive added all military branches to the act.

The organization ’Take Our Border Back’ is sending a convoy of truckers to Eagle Pass, scheduled to arrive January 29th. The media establishment outlets like Vice, frown on them, calling them ’’Right-Wing Extremists;’’ but it’s not stopping the truckers, who in their hearts believe the country is unsustainable if the country is overrun with illegal migrants.

Governor Noem arrived at Shelby Park around 1pm, and spoke with the media before taking a boat ride down the river. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick arrived via helicopter around 45 minutes and completed the same process. Half of the nation’s governors back Texas’ stance in protecting its state sovereignty, The Texas National Guards efforts at Shelby Park are making a difference. Which undoubtedly is reducing the numbers going to Democrat Sanctuary cities.

’’I am proud of Texas and the actions they are taking. They are protecting their state sovereignty,’’ said South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. ’’Shelby Park is Texas land, and a part of the United States of America, and the President is refusing to defend it from an invasion.’’

Noem’s support of Texas reduces human trafficking in her state and other states as well. She and others are concerned about Biden possibly nationalizing the National Guard, then ordering its stand down, which would be an unprecedented move; but it is a possibility, since the national guard is part of the national defense establishment. But with immigration being the number one issue going into the 2024 elections, Biden disregarding the hottest topic that concerns likely voters this year, it would only add to the angst that voters already have, and add even more fuel to the fire to the certainty of a Trump re-election this November. Noem has pledged to bring razor wire from her state if need be.

’’The biggest mistake the Biden Administration could make is confronting our National Guard at the park, when we are actually doing the job the American People want.’’ said Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. ’’We are not looking for a confrontation. We are looking for the Administration to do their damn job.’’
