THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Sterling Ridge Village Association awards a number of scholarships per year to outstanding local high school students planning to pursue higher education. This scholarship is intended to recognize and encourage a spirit of community involvement and citizenship among high school students residing in the Village of Sterling Ridge.

The deadline for applications this year will be this Sunday, March 24, 2024.

The scholarships are open to high school seniors residing in Sterling Ridge, irrespective of the school attended; proof of residency in the Village of Sterling Ridge must be provided through the submitted FAFSA Student Aid Report. Applicants must be in good standing at their current school at the time of application (minimum 2.0 GPA) and intend to attend either a two- or four-year college or a trade or vocational school starting in Summer or Fall 2024

Scholarships will be awarded based on your application with emphasis on the numerous criteria, including academic performance, citizenship & community involvement, extracurricular activities, financial need, optional ACT or SAT, and a one-page essay.

Applications will be reviewed by the SRVA Board Scholarship Committee and the SRVA Board of Directors. Only complete applications will be considered. Actual scholarship award money will be credited directly to the student’s account at the college or university once accepted and enrolled.

The SRVA Board will notify recipients of their award on April 12, and there will be an awards presentation at the May 1 SRVA board meeting.
