First America Homes Announces New Vice President of Sales

HOUSTON, TX -- First America Homes, the award-winning homebuilding division of The Signorelli Company, announces Derrick Carlson has joined the firm as vice president of sales for the Houston market. In this role, Carlson will be integral to the development and execution of the firm’s strategic expansion goals and will oversee a team representing 36 communities across Greater Houston. Carlson brings nearly two decades of experience to the role, with more than half of his career in sales leadership positions with public and private homebuilders.

Prior to joining First America Homes, Carlson’s experience includes serving as director of sales for a Texas homebuilder where he maximized sales strategies that resulted in multi-million-dollar revenue streams, consistent sales results and increased profitability in an ever-changing homebuilding environment. Prior accomplishments include serving as area sales manager for a national homebuilder where he led a team that annually generated more than 300 successful sales and closings in Houston's top-tier master-planned communities and self-developed locations.

Carlson is a graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication.
