Veteran of the Week: Bryan Evans

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- This week’s Veteran is Bryan Evans, who served in the U.S. Navy from 1979 - 1992. He was recently at the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park for a ceremony. Bryan started out as an Operations Specialist in the Combat Information Center (CIC), on his ship which monitored surface, sub-surface, and air contacts. On his long cruises he would visit the Far East and Australia. Bryan also was deployed to South America in support of operations against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua. As a contractor, Evans supported U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, destroying known enemy hideouts and weapons stashes. He now runs his own contracting business in Montgomery County.
