Embrace the heat with these hot performances in June at The Pavilion
THE WOODLANDS, TX – While other, lesser, areas may be encouraging you to ‘beat the heat’ by staying indoors, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is proudly proclaiming the opposite: embrace the heat by preparing accordingly and hitting this world-class outdoor venue, consistently voted among the top amphitheaters in the world.
For decades, the Pavilion has been one of hte most popular destination points in The Woodlands, It seats up to 16,500 people – 6,500 covered seats and up to 10,000 on the uncovered lawn – and brings in top-tier talent from all over the world. Located smack dab in the middle of the Township, it’s within easy walking, driving, or trolley distance from Market Street, The Mall, the Waterway, and Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing. Several local hotels have concert-related specials to boot.
Organizers have some amazing events lined up for the summer season. Here’s what you can expect for June:
- Thursday, June 13 – Noah Kahan – With a classic alternative/indie sound, Noah’s performance is sure to have everyone singing and dancing along to top hits like ‘False Confidence,’ ‘Stick Season,’ and ‘Everywhere, Everything’
- Sunday, June 16 – Alanis Morissette – Get ready for an unforgettable night with Alanis, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and Morgan Wade.
- Tuesday, June 18 – Bugs Bunny at the Symphony – That wascally wabbit will make an appearance with his loony friends on the big screen as The Houston Symphony plays the fantastical mixture of classical and modern symphony pieces that originally scored these iconic cartoons… for free!
- Friday, June 21 – Caifanes & Cafe Tacvba – There are no language barriers to rock as two south-of-the-border bands join forces and storm the pavilion
- Saturday, June 22 – Styx & Foreigner – Get ready to experience these two maga-bands during their ‘Renegades and Juke Box Heroes’ tour with John Waite
- Wednesday, June 26 – The Music of Pink Floyd – Experience the Houston Symphony’s performance of Pink Floyd’s music as you sit back and enjoy as they enhance the unusual harmonies, ethereal high string lines, and rich underscore of these storied songs with this free concert
- Sunday, June 30 – The Doobie Brothers – ‘Listen to the music’ as the Brothers take the stage, joined by The Robert Cray Band. Still rocking after all these years!
Organizers at the Pavilion want to remind concertgoers that there are strict bag policies in place – clear totes not to exceed 12”x12”x6”, one-gallon resealable clear plastic bags, small clutches with straps not to exceed 4.5”x6.5”, and approved medically necessary bags only – and that the venue is cashless, so bring your debit cards and keep them safe. Also, be wary of third-party ticket sites who gouge the prices to astronomical levels; instead, only use the Pavilion box office, Ticketmaster, or Live Nation for your purchases.
