THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Pavilion will kick off its arts season with a brilliant blend of classical music and classic animation! Bugs Bunny at The Symphony has toured the world and will now perform on The Pavilion Main Stage with the Houston Symphony on June 18, 2024. Gates will open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. performance. As part of our nonprofit mission and to ensure that the arts are accessible to everyone, all seating at this event is completely free with no tickets required!

While your favorite Looney Tunes tickle your funny bone on the big screen, hear the Houston Symphony play the fantastical mixture of classical and modern symphony pieces that originally scored these iconic cartoons - live! A dozen of the world’s most iconic Looney Tunes—What’s Opera, Doc?, The Rabbit of Seville, Corny Concerto, Baton Bunny, Long-Haired Hare, and many others—plus five brand-new animated shorts—will be projected on the big screen, while their exhilarating original scores are played live by the Houston Symphony, under the direction of Emmy Award-winning conductor, George Daugherty.

Created by George Daugherty & David Ka Lik Wong, Bugs Bunny at The Symphony took the symphony orchestra world by storm and pioneered the brand-new concept of "live orchestra and big screen" concerts. Since its legendary Broadway premiere at The Gershwin Theatre, the original concert has circumnavigated the globe several times over, playing to millions of people worldwide in iconic venues. It's the perfect introduction to the symphony for a young family, and it's sure to feature some classical deep cuts you never expected to star alongside the most famous rabbit in the world.

Pre-show activities will begin at 7 p.m. and include photo opportunities, an arts & crafts booth, themed games, an instrument petting zoo and sponsor activations.

Guests are welcome to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy in their seat or on the hill. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion and picnics must also comply with The Pavilion’s bag size restriction and/or be in original packaging.
