The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Aaron Cox, IOM as President & CEO
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce it has chosen Aaron Cox, IOM to serve as the Chamber’s President and CEO. Cox is an experienced chamber and not for profit professional who is committed to the success of businesses, communities and people.
Ann Wolford, 2024-2025 Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors said: “We are thrilled to welcome Aaron Cox as CEO of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce. Aaron brings a true commitment to member engagement, and we are excited about the fresh perspectives and strategic direction he brings as we plan this next chapter in the Chamber’s history. We look forward to a bright future of growth and expanding opportunities for our Chamber and its members.”
Cox is a strategic leader with a proven track record of building strong relationships and successfully growing member-driven organizations. He passionately believes that a strong Chamber of Commerce that is serving, supporting, connecting, innovating and advocating on behalf of its members and the community is vital to continue growing the thriving business community in The Woodlands in support of the local economy.
Cox said: “I am honored and humbled by the opportunity provided by our Board of Directors to lead this incredible organization and team in service to the members of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce and The Woodlands area community. The Woodlands Area Chamber has a firm foundation of leadership, community engagement and economic success and I look forward to working with our exceptional board, business community, partners, staff and stakeholders to secure our space in the heritage of greatness in this amazing community.”
Aaron joins the team with more than 20 years of experience serving businesses, people and communities. He has served over fifteen years in the chamber of commerce industry with state chambers in Texas and Kentucky and their statewide chamber professionals associations. He has successfully led agencies, projects and initiatives in business advocacy and public policy at the state and federal levels, workforce development, economic development, transportation and other human services issues.
Cox thrives on serving people, innovating and working to create both an environment and opportunities for others to reach their potential. At the Chamber this commitment will continue as he passionately pursues the mission to create pathways of opportunities for the businesses of The Woodlands area.
Cox will assume the role of President and CEO on September 16, 2024.
