THE WOODLANDS, TX – With all 113 precincts reporting in, the full results for the general election have been released. These results are still considered ‘unofficial’ until certified by the State Election Commission.

Reflecting their national results, locally the presidential ticket of Donald Trump and JD Vance won Montgomery County with 72.3 percent of the vote. Senator Ted Cruz defeated Colin Allred with 69.8 percent of the vote. For Congress, incumbents Dan Crenshaw for District 2 and Morgan Luttrell for District 8 won handily with 70.2 and 81.4 percent of the vote, respectively. Incumbent State Representative, District 16, Will Metcalf, also dominated his Democratic opponent, garnering 73,306 votes in a 80.3 / 19.6 percent victory. For District 18, Janis Holt, who unseated incumbent Ernest Bailes in the March primary, beat her Libertarian opponent with 82 percent of the vote. All partisan races on the ballot went to the Republican candidates, frequently with wide margins.

Some upsets occurred for the Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees races, however. Two incumbents were unseated; Position 4’s Datren Williams lost to Nicole May, garnering only 39.6 percent of the vote, and Position 6’s incumbent Stacey Chase was defeated by challenger Melissa Semmler, 43.9 to 38.2 percent. Lindsay Dawson and Marianne Horton both won the seats for Positions 5 and 7, respectively, with no incumbents running in either of those positions.

The results of the races for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors were slightly less surprising, with a strong showing from the unified slate of Brad Bailey, Richard Franks, Linda Nelson, and Craig Eissler for Positions 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Incumbents Bailey and Franks both solidly beat their challengers, while incumbent Nelson ran unopposed. For the open Position 4 seat, Eissler defeated his opponent with 78.3 percent of the vote.
