Road Rage Incident on FM 1488 Quickly Resolved by Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle

MAGNOLIA, TX -- On Tuesday, April 30, officers were dispatched to a reported physical disturbance stemming from a road rage incident near the intersection of FM 1488 and FM 1774.

The altercation unfolded when two drivers stopped in the middle of FM 1488. One of the individuals exited his vehicle and physically confronted the other driver. When the confrontation did not go in his favor, the aggressor escalated the situation by brandishing a firearm and threatening the victim.

Fortunately, Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle was in the area and arrived on scene within moments. Sheriff Doolittle acted swiftly and professionally, de-escalating the incident without the need for force.

The male suspect was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

In recognition of his timely and courageous actions, Sheriff Doolittle will be named an Honorary Officer of the Magnolia Police Department. His willingness to step in and assist exemplifies the spirit of cooperation and public service that keeps our communities safe.
