Lone Star College System celebrates graduates at upcoming commencement ceremonies

HOUSTON, TX -- A college graduation is a significant milestone that celebrates students’ hard work toward earning their degree or certificate and putting them on the path to continuing their education or entering the workforce. Lone Star College System will host 11 commencement ceremonies May 8-10.
“Lone Star College System is overjoyed to celebrate our incredible soon-to-be graduates, whose dedication, resilience and passion have brought them to this proud milestone in their educational journey,” said Seelpa Keshvala, Ph.D., LSC executive vice chancellor, Academics.
LSCS will award diplomas and certifications to students who finished their requirements in the summer and fall 2024 semesters and candidates who will complete their programs in the spring and summer 2025 semesters. “I started at Lone Star College-Tomball two weeks after I moved to Texas,” said Jetzel Nazario, who moved from Puerto Rico with a clear goal: earn a degree and play basketball. “Now, two years later, I’m graduating. My experience was amazing, and the faculty, staff, coaches and students were so friendly. Lone Star College-Tomball feels like a second home to me now.”
Lone Star College awarded 11,236 students with a degree or certificate during spring 2024 graduation celebrations, nearly a 16% increase over spring 2023. Visit LoneStar.edu/Graduation for more information on LSCS’s 2025 Commencement Ceremonies.
