SHENANDOAH, TX -- The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security, in coordination with the U.S. Department of State, and in collaboration with multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, is conducting a planned training exercise today in the city of Shenandoah.

This exercise has been scheduled well in advance and is being carried out in close partnership with local authorities. It is important to note that this is not in response to any current real-world event. The training is routine and is expected to have no impact on daily life in the community.

Residents in the area may notice an increased presence of law enforcement, hear unusual noises, or observe helicopters in the vicinity. These activities are part of the training and should not be a cause for concern.

Joint exercises like this one are a standard part of preparedness efforts that help ensure strong coordination between agencies and enhance our ability to respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies.

To maintain the highest level of security and ensure the integrity of the exercise, no public viewing opportunities will be available.

We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as we continue working together to ensure the safety and security of Montgomery County.
