THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Signorelli Company announces today it’s bringing Alabama-based Books-A-Million, one of the nation's largest book retailers, to Valley Ranch Town Center where a new 12,000-square-foot bookstore is slated to open in Fall 2025.

From its new location at 21680 Market Place Drive in New Caney, TX, Books-A-Million will offer a diverse selection of books for adults and children, including fiction, nonfiction and Bibles, as well as toys, gifts, collectibles and other unique items. Books-A-Million commonly known as “BAM!,” will have designated reading areas, such as a children’s section, and community-focused events and programs for book lovers of all ages and backgrounds.

'Books-A-Million reflects the kinds of community-centered retail concepts we're bringing to Valley Ranch,” said Greg Wattson, Signorelli’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Development. “Whether you want to study, read, explore or connect with neighbors, this space offers something for everyone. We’re excited to welcome this premier book retailer to the community and look forward to introducing them to new, loyal customers.”

Founded in 1917, Books-A-Million serves a wide range of readers through more than 260 stores across 32 states, plus online sales, making it the nation’s second largest book retailer. The Valley Ranch bookstore will mark the second Books-A-Million location in Greater Houston.

“We’re thrilled to bring Books-A-Million to Valley Ranch Town Center,” said Olivia McDaniel, Vice President of Marketing at Books-A-Million. “Texas readers are passionate and welcoming, and we can’t wait to open our doors to a community that values curiosity, connection, and the joy of reading.”

Situated along the rapidly growing corridor of Interstate 69 and the Grand Parkway in Montgomery County, Valley Ranch Town Center attracts more than 11 million visitors annually and is Houston’s #1 Most Visited Open Air Shopping Center, according to Placer.ai.

Valley Ranch mixed-use development features 1.75 million square feet of retail, office, entertainment, restaurant and mixed-use space. The adjacent Valley Ranch residential community includes more than 2,000 single-family and multifamily homes, with additional sections under development.

Valley Ranch Momentum Continues

The Valley Ranch mixed-use development continues its rapid expansion to meet the dynamic growth of East Montgomery County with new retail, entertainment and essential services. Hope Media Group, the Houston-based ministry with multiple media brands, recently opened its corporate headquarters with state-of-the-art broadcast studios at Valley Ranch Entertainment District, marking the first corporate headquarters within Valley Ranch. Additionally, Lumos, a 45,000-square-foot high-tech entertainment venue designed for families, adults, and corporate events, is set to open this summer. Other recently announced projects include:

A new 210,000-square-foot convention center in the Valley Ranch Entertainment District, slated to open in 2026.

The Marketplace at Valley Ranch, a 188-acre district, expected to begin construction next year. It will feature 900,000 square feet of retail space, designed as an upscale, curated shopping and lifestyle destination.

Havertys Furniture, a quality home furnishings retailer also offering free in-home design services, will open a new 41,500 square foot showroom in Fall 2025.

The Signorelli Company’s extensive development portfolio includes five additional master planned communities in Montgomery County and an expanding footprint across Greater Houston and Texas. Dozens of developments are in progress along with a future pipeline of more than 32,000 lots, including Austin Point, its transformative satellite city in Fort Bend County. This portfolio positions The Signorelli Company as a Texas leader in large-scale master-planned development, bringing dynamic, sustainable communities to life across the state.
