Peaceful Protest in Conroe Draws Over 1,300 Participants
CONROE, TX -- As protests continue across the nation, Conroe saw a large and peaceful demonstration today, with an estimated 1,300 to 1,500 people gathering at the steps of City Hall. The event was planned in advance, and despite significant traffic congestion caused by the influx of visitors to the area, there were no incidents, no injuries, and no arrests.
Conroe Police Chief Jon Buckholtz extends his sincere thanks to the dedicated men and women of the Conroe Police Department for their professionalism and commitment to public safety. Their presence and hard work ensured a safe environment for all of Conroe’s citizens, and with a strong team effort, prevented the lawlessness seen in many cities across the Country.
This successful outcome would not have been possible without the strong collaboration and support from our partner agencies, including:
• Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
• Montgomery County Constable Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
• Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office
• Texas Department of Public Safety
• Montgomery County Hospital District
• Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management
• Conroe Fire Department
We are truly grateful for the unified effort and leadership across all county and state agencies, which played a crucial role in maintaining peace and order throughout the event.
