Quick Response by Resort Staff Helps Contain Small Fire at The Woodlands Resort
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 8:42 AM this morning, The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a reported fire at The Woodlands Resort. Upon arrival, firefighters were met by resort staff who quickly directed them to a detached generator enclosure that had caught fire.
Thanks to the swift action of resort personnel, the adjacent building was promptly evacuated and initial fire suppression was performed using handheld fire extinguishers. Fire crews took over to fully extinguish the remaining flames and thoroughly checked for any fire extension to nearby structures.
“We commend the resort staff for their quick thinking and decisive response,” said a spokesperson from The Woodlands Fire Department. “Their actions played a key role in containing the fire and ensuring the safety of all guests and employees.”
There were no injuries reported, and the fire was limited to the generator enclosure, with no damage to any guest accommodations. Despite the early morning disruption, guests remained in high spirits, with many joking that their Father’s Day simply got an early start.
The Woodlands Fire Department encourages all businesses to maintain updated fire safety protocols and provide staff with basic training in fire response, as demonstrated effectively by The Woodlands Resort team today.
