Steve Toth announces CD-2 run against Dan Crenshaw

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Steve Toth, currently representing District 15 in the Texas House of Representatives, has officially announced his run for congressional district 2, currently held by Dan Crenshaw.
Though Toth filed nearly two weeks ago for the seat, his campaign put out a notice that an official announcement would be delayed due to the devastating loss of life and property in the July 4 flooding in Kerr County and beyond. On social media, Toth has invited people to come to Grace Woodlands Church for a 'Big, Beautiful Announcement' hosted by conservative pundit Chad Prather; the announcement is most likely the official kickoff of Toth's campaign.
In a text message sent out to the media and members of the public, Toth's campaign announced:
BREAKING NEWS: Battle-Tested Conservative Legislator Steve Toth Launches Campaign for Congress Against Dan Crenshaw
As one of the most conservative members of the Texas House, Steve Toth was instrumental in:
-Removing radical ideology from Texas classrooms
-Banning foreign adversaries, including China and Iran, from owning Texas land
-Securing billions of dollars for border security
Toth's last run for a congressional seat was in 2016 when he challenged then-Congressman Kevin Brady, winning 27 percent of the vote in a four-way race.
