The Woodlands Arts Council Announces “Winter in The Woodlands” Photography Contest

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Arts Council invites photographers of all ages and skill levels to capture the beauty and charm of our community during the winter season in its upcoming Winter in The Woodlands Photography Contest. The contest runs from August 11 through September 19, 2025, and celebrates the unique landscapes, nature, and pathways that make The Woodlands special.

Contest Categories

• Professional Photographer (presently or in the past)

• Adult Amateur Photographer

• High School Student

• Youth up to 8th Grade

Participants may submit up to three original photographs, taken within The Woodlands, that reflect the winter months (November–February). Eligible subjects include parks and pathways, nature scenes, landscapes, aerial views, or drone photography. AI-generated images are not permitted.

Entry Details:

• Entry Fee: $25 for adults, free for students

• Submission Deadline: September 19, 2025

• Notification of Acceptance: October 9, 2025

• All entries will be juried anonymously

• Selected finalists and winners will be featured in a curated exhibition at The Woodlands Arts Council gallery from November 4, 2025, to February 5, 2026

• Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the Opening Reception on Thursday, November 6, 2025
