1-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion to showcase final flight over Conroe this Saturday
CONROE, TX – The U.S. Army Reserve has announced that the 1-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion will conduct its final formation flight this weekend, Saturday, August 16 starting at 10:00 a.m. The flight will depart Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport and fly all throughout the area into Houston.
“The Army Reserve Aviation Command’s rotary-wing assets will be inactivating and divesting in accordance with Army Transformation Initiative EXORD-222-25 effective September 15, 2026,” said SGT Kaleb Brice, public affairs representative for the battalion. “As part of this transition, the soldiers – both part-time and full-time – of the 1-158th AHB will conduct a final formation flight. This serves as a last showcase for family, friends, and the North Houston community, expressing gratitude for the enduring support throughout the unit’s service.”
