Two Suspects Arrested After Crash Ends FM 1488 Vehicle Burglary Spree in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TX -- At approximately 5:21 a.m. on August 16, 2025, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a crash and burglary in the 16800 block of FM 1488 in Magnolia, Texas.
A homeowner arrived at his residence to find two suspects attempting to break into his work truck. When confronted, the suspects fled in a vehicle, with the homeowner following. Shortly after, the suspects attempted a sudden U-turn, resulting in a collision that disabled their vehicle.
Deputies arrived on scene within minutes. One suspect fled on foot into a wooded area, while the driver — identified as 21-year-old Albert Ross Jr. — remained with the vehicle and was detained. A perimeter was quickly established, and the second suspect — 22-year-old Trayvon Jessie — was located and taken into custody a short time later.
Detectives with the Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) responded to the scene and determined the suspects’ vehicle had been involved in multiple burglaries connected to at least 15 active investigations. Two additional overnight vehicle burglary victims were also identified during the course of this investigation.
Both Ross and Jessie have been arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. Ross faces an additional charge of Felony Criminal Mischief for property damage related to the crash.
Sheriff Wesley Doolittle stated, “Car burglars will be held accountable in Montgomery County. If you target our citizens, expect swift action and arrest. We will not tolerate criminals victimizing our community.”
