Local Public Eatery Now Open at First Houston Location in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- LOCAL Public Eatery (or LPE) is excited to announce its official public opening in The Woodlands, today August 21. Marking the concept’s first Houston location and second Texas location, LPE is situated in the heart of The Woodland’s mixed-use Market Street, known for its trendy retail, dining and entertainment scene. LPE’s fun, relaxed pub concept features fresh, premium food offerings alongside a top-tier beverage menu. With an emphasis on providing friendly hospitality and curating memorable experiences, LPE brings together family and friends (both new and old) for a good time – whether it be lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, late night, happy hour or game time.

LOCAL Public Eatery’s 5,140-square-foot space features curated artwork accompanied by vintage lighting, cozy area rugs and eclectic decor, creating an eye-catching design that seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with rustic charm for a home away from home feel. A focal point of the bar, a massive beer board lists what beers are pouring and doubles as a screen for viewing key sports events. Complete with a spacious all-weather wrap-around patio with a retractable roof, intimate dining spaces, open kitchen and central back bar, LPE is poised to become an ideal drinking and dining destination for Houston residents, local businesses and visitors alike.

Under Lewis’ guidance, LPE will offer an ever evolving, flavorful menu of comfort food classics and innovative bites. From craveable Fried Chicken Ramen with miso sesame broth, charred corn, bean sprouts, and a soft-boiled egg and Fully Loaded Crispy Potatoes with crispy pavé potatoes, parmesan horseradish aioli, bacon, jalapeños, and shaved Grana Padano, to mains such as the BBQ Rice Bowl with Korean BBQ-style pork, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, fried egg, pickled onion, cabbage, cilantro, and spicy mayo and Steak & Fries with a grilled 7oz Certified Angus Beef sirloin and dijon peppercorn sauce, LPE provides thoughtfully curated food selections full of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The neighborhood hangout will also offer a unique selection of pizzas, like The Texan, a delicious shareable dawned with organic Bianco DiNapoli tomato sauce, Spianata salami, bacon, fennel sausage and mozzarella.

In addition to fresh fare, LPE takes pride in its equally impressive bar program. The intentional beverage menu includes local draft beers, wine and hand-crafted cocktails like the Spicy Guava Margarita, LPE Bloody Mary (unique to Texas locations) and Paradise Frost, a frozen slushy with vodka, passionfruit, vanilla, lemon, and Tajin. They also offer Zebra Striping, a two-drink combo that includes a first round with a full-proof beverage, and a second round with a complimenting zero proof option. No matter the occasion, LPE is dedicated to serving up the perfect libation to match a guest’s meal and mood. Patrons can also enjoy “group activities” for the whole table with drink options such as a The Porron, a party pitcher filled with Vinho Verde served sans glasses, as well as rounds of Espresso Mar-Tinys, and Cold Tea, a decorative pot of Jameson-infused tea with tea cups for a crowd, that create an unforgettable experience.
