Wine and Food Week continues tonight with Crushing It With Cocktails

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Food & Vine Time Productions’ annual Wine and Food Week launched with a global presence last night with their ‘Wine Around the World Wednesday’ event, where discriminating wine-lovers ‘traveled’ to seven different areas each representing a country with its own brands of wine and styles of food and decor. Tonight, the festivities continue with Crushing It With Cocktails, taking place 6 - 9 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
This high-energy evening is bringing the heat with an epic tasting experience and a cocktail / mocktail showdown like no other. Watch the area’s top mixologists go head-to-head, crafting bold flavors, innovative sips, and crowd-favorite classics – all competing for your vote.
Whether you’re into artfully crafted cocktails or zero-proof creations that wow, there’s something sensational in every sip. And don’t miss the stunning H-E-B Grazing Board – an abundant spread of bites and delights perfectly paired for your sipping adventure.
The cocktail competition judges – who will crown the Best Cocktail and Best Mocktail, plus the coveted People’s Choice winner – are Jamie Alvear, Freelance Writer, Blogger, The Drunken Diva; Ryan Wells, South Texas Sales Representative, Houston Chapter - US Bartender's Guild; Mario-Sebastian Berry, Associate Editor, Food Journalist, Social Media Manager, Houston Food Finder; Kris Sowell, Co-Founder, Ladies of Libation; Monique Studak, Principle, Thirst for Knowledge; and Brandi J. Lowery, Executive Bourbon Steward and Edu-taster, Whiskey University.
The competing bartenders include Kiana Carillo, Plume; Sebastian Escobar, Monarca Modern Mexican Cocina; Carla V Espinoza, I Know The Owner; Alison Gathman, Kirby’s Steakhouse; Afzal Kaba, Musaafer; Belinda Lara, Prohibition Texas; Thomas Marsella, 13 Celsius; and Danny Velazquez, The Blind Finch Speakeasy.
