THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 1:00 p.m., The Woodlands Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a damaged gas line on Flintridge Road, just west of Gosling Road. Contractors conducting horizontal boring operations struck a large gas supply line, prompting an immediate response.

As a precaution, firefighters closed Flintridge Road in both directions between Gosling and Trace Creek Drive. No evacuations have been required at this time, and all residences remain accessible from the west side of the incident.

The Woodlands Fire Department’s Hazmat team has deployed Area Rae monitors in nearby neighborhoods to continuously monitor air quality and ensure the safety of residents. CenterPoint Energy crews have arrived on-site and are working to secure the gas supply and perform necessary repairs.

The Woodlands Fire Department urges drivers to avoid the area until further notice and thanks the public for their cooperation and patience as crews work to resolve the situation safely.
