Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two Wanted Suspects for Felony Theft

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On September 9, 2025, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Operators, deputized as Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, arrested wanted fugitives Joseph Lee Gray and Peggy Lynn Wallace.

Gray, 36, and Wallace, 35, were both wanted on felony warrants out of Montgomery County for Theft. They were taken into custody without incident and are currently confined in the Montgomery County Jail.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office commends the professionalism and precision of its SWAT Operators for safely bringing these dangerous individuals into custody. This successful arrest also reflects a decade of strong partnership with the United States Marshals Service, working side by side to ensure fugitives are brought to justice and our communities remain safe.
