The Woodlands Arts Council celebrates launch of Handwork 2026
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Arts Council announced that it is celebrating today’s national launch of Handwork 2026, an inspiring initiative organized by Craft in America. Handwork 2026 honors America’s 250th anniversary by weaving together 250 years of handmade traditions and creativity across the country.
“By hosting selected craft exhibitions and the Texas Fine Craft Show next year, we’ll celebrate the artistry, innovation, and stories of artists who bring the spirit of craft to life in our region and across the country. We’ll share more details throughout the year as we prepare to celebrate this initiative together,” said TWAC representatives in a statement.
Handwork 2026 will be a year-long collaboration among organizations, educators, and makers to celebrate the diversity of the crafts that define America, bringing compelling stories and underrepresented art and artists into the spotlight through the following programs:
