Conroe ISD Board of Trustees Appoints New Trustee for Position 1

CONROE, TX -- The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees has appointed Agueda ‘Aggie’ Gambino to fill the vacant Board Position 1 following an application and interview process approved by the Board.

Mrs. Gambino was selected after a competitive process that included an open application period and interviews conducted during a Special Board Meeting. The Board considered multiple highly qualified applicants from across the Conroe ISD community.

“This was not an easy decision,” said Board President Odenweller. “We had many outstanding candidates apply, which speaks volumes about the strength and commitment of our community. The Board followed a thoughtful and transparent application and interview process, and we are confident and excited about Mrs. Gambino serving our district.”

Mrs. Gambino is a longtime Conroe ISD community member, parent of children currently enrolled in Conroe ISD schools, and a business owner with more than 20 years of involvement in the district and surrounding community.

She is the founder of The Learning Edge Consulting, where she works with organizations on learning strategy, organizational development, and change management. Gambino currently serves as the founder and chairperson of the Conroe ISD Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) and has participated in district initiatives including the CISD Cell Phone Committee and the CISD Community Collaborative. She is active in campus and athletic volunteer leadership and brings a bilingual, bicultural perspective to her service in the Conroe ISD community.

The newly appointed trustee will be sworn in at the beginning of the next regular Board meeting and will serve the remainder of the term for Position 1.
