Niche Names Conroe ISD Best School District in Montgomery County for 5th-Straight Year

CONROE, TX -- Conroe ISD was tabbed the Best School District Overall in Montgomery County for the fifth-straight year by Niche, a prominent education ranking and review site, which announced its 2026 rankings Monday.

In addition to the best overall, the District was named the Best School District for Athletes in the county, marking the fourth-straight year to claim that distinction. CISD ranked among the top 10 in the Houston area and ranked among the top seven percent both in the state and nationally.

CISD earned an overall A grade, with especially high marks for its teachers, reflecting the District’s strong commitment to recruiting and retaining outstanding educators. The District also earned top scores in college preparation and athletics, along with strong ratings in academics, student activities, and administration.
