Kailee Mills Foundation to host Buckle Up Heroes bowl featuring Woodlands area first responders
THE WOODLANDS, TX – A local nonprofit organization that aims to stop all seat belt-related deaths on Texas roads has announced a special event to raise funds and awareness for the cause.
Kailee Mills Foundation, named after the Montgomery County teen who tragically perished in an automobile accident that occurred shortly after she removed her seat belt to take a selfie, has named Saturday, February 28 as the date for the Buckle Up Heroes Bowl, taking place at Klein Collins High School Stadium.
The event includes a flag football game between first responders that is designed to bring the community together for a fun, high-energy event with one powerful purpose: saving lives through seat belt awareness and education.
“Get ready for an unforgettable night as Firefighters and Police Officers face off under the lights in an electric football showdown that brings our community together for a powerful cause,” said event organizers in a statement.
Sponsorships and individual tickets are available now. Available sponsorship opportunities include Title Sponsor, Hero Sponsor, Shield Sponsor, Halftime Sponsor, Badge Sponsor, End Zone Banner Sponsor, Closing Awards Sponsor, KMF Kids Safety Zone Sponsor, 50-Yard Line Sponsor, and End Zone Sponsor.
“Your support helps us continue expanding our programs, empowering students, and reaching families with life-saving seat belt safety initiatives. Together, we are making a measurable difference in reducing preventable injuries and fatalities on our roadways,” said event organizers.
General admission is $15 for adults and $12 for kids aged 4 - 17; children 3 and under are free. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available at give.kaileemillsfoundation.org/event/2026-buckle-up-bowl/e746499.
