The Woodlands Arts Council invites you to help shape a Community Mural for America’s 250th anniversary
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Arts Council has partnered with acclaimed local artist Marlo Saucedo on a special community mural celebrating the United States’ 250th anniversary in July 2026.
This mural will be installed at the Kevin Brady Community Center and will feature gratitude messages submitted by community members of all ages.
Using Marlo Saucedo’s signature word-based painting style, messages will become part of this lasting public artwork celebrating gratitude and community.
“We invite you to share a short message of gratitude about our community,” said council representatives in a statement.
The last day to submit your messages is June 3. If you have previously contributed to the 1776 Anniversary Fundraising Campaign to have your gratitude message prominently featured in the mural, you do not need to do anything else.
You can submit your message at bit.ly/4vlrqCn.
