THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On May 19, 2026, Constable Ryan Gable’s detectives assigned to Children’s Safe Harbor opened an investigation into allegations of child abuse involving Johnathan Michael Dennis. During the investigation, detectives developed probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant charging Dennis with Injury to a Child, a third-degree felony under Texas law.

Detectives later learned that Dennis had traveled outside the United States. To help ensure his apprehension upon return, detectives coordinated with Homeland Security Investigations to monitor his travel arrangements and track his return flight into the Houston area.

On May 30, 2026, Dennis was taken into custody without incident at George Bush Intercontinental Airport immediately after deplaning from his international flight. He was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail and booked on the outstanding warrant.

Constable Gable expressed appreciation to Homeland Security Investigations, the Houston Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in locating and apprehending the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
