MCSO Investigates Homicide on Trails End in Conroe

CONROE, TX -- On June 1, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m., deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a deceased person at a residence in the 19200 block of Trails End Road in Conroe.

Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 81-year-old James Blount, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to begin the initial investigation. The investigation remains active and is continuing with assistance from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.
