THE WOODLANDS, TX – A Montgomery County man who walked into his neighbor’s yard and fatally shot him in broad daylight has been sentenced to 50 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after pleading guilty to murder.

On May 28, 2026, Timothy Sisco, 59, pleaded guilty to Murder before Judge Phil Grant in the 9th District Court. Chief Prosecutor Wesley LeRouax prosecuted the case.

The conviction stems from the May 10, 2025, murder of Billy Fisher, who was working on a vehicle in his front yard at a New Caney-area trailer park when Sisco approached and opened fire.

Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and secured surveillance footage that captured the events leading up to the shooting.

Evidence showed that Fisher was unarmed and engaged in routine activity at his home when Sisco confronted him. While the two men had experienced prior disagreements, there was no justification found for the violent attack.

During the plea hearing, members of Fisher’s family filled the courtroom and delivered victim impact statements describing the devastating loss of a father and grandfather whose life was taken without warning or explanation.

Sisco’s criminal history qualified him as a habitual offender. Court records showed prior prison sentences for Burglary of a Habitation and Delivery of a Controlled Substance in 1990, as well as another Burglary of a Habitation conviction in 2001.

“This was a calculated act of violence committed against a man who was simply working in his own yard,” said Chief Prosecutor Wesley LeRouax. “Nothing justified what happened that day. While no sentence can restore what was taken from Billy Fisher’s family, this result ensures Timothy Sisco will spend decades behind bars for this senseless murder.”

“Every person deserves to feel safe at home and in their own yard,” said District Attorney Mike Holley. “Billy Fisher was robbed of that security and of the years he should have had with his children and grandchildren. Those who choose violence in Montgomery County will be held accountable, and our office remains committed to seeking justice for victims and their loved ones.”

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office extends its condolences to the Fisher family and thanks the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for its thorough investigation.
