The Players Theatre Company Presents How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
Evann Sommers as Rosemary with Royce Reid as Finch
CONROE, TX -- The Players Theatre Company kicks off its milestone 60th Season with the Tony Award-winning musical comedy How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, opening August 14 at the historic Owen Theatre in downtown Conroe.
Packed with unforgettable songs, razor-sharp wit, and larger-than-life characters, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the ambitious J. Pierrepont Finch, who discovers a mysterious self-help book promising success in the corporate world. Armed with little more than confidence, charm, and the book's questionable advice, Finch climbs the executive ladder through a hilarious series of misadventures that remain as relevant today as when the musical first premiered.
Featuring beloved songs including 'I Believe in You,' 'Brotherhood of Man,' and 'Rosemary,' the musical has entertained audiences for generations with its timeless satire of office politics, ambition, and the pursuit of the American Dream.
Directed and choreographed by Melody Johnson with music direction by Ashlie Driver, this energetic production features a talented local cast led by Royce Reid as J. Pierrepont Finch and Evann Sommers as Rosemary Pilkington, supported by a dynamic ensemble bringing the bustling staff of the World Wide Wicket Company to life.
Performances run August 14–30, 2026, with evening performances on Fridays and Saturdays and matinee performances on Sundays. As part of its 60th Season enhancements, The Players Theatre Company is introducing new Saturday matinee performances at 2:00 p.m., giving audiences even more opportunities to enjoy its productions throughout the season.
