MAGNOLIA, TX -- In May 2026, detectives with Constable Ryan Gable’s Office, assigned to Children’s Safe Harbor, received a report from Child Protective Services alleging child sexual abuse by Brandon David Muse, 44, of Magnolia, Texas.

Following an extensive investigation, Precinct 3 detectives developed probable cause to charge Muse with Sexual Assault of a Child, a second-degree felony in Texas. The victim was 14 years old at the time of the alleged offense.

Detectives determined that Muse was residing in Minden, Louisiana, and contacted the Minden Police Department for assistance. On August 11, 2026, officers with the Minden Police Department located and took Muse into custody.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Muse previously served as a police officer with the Magnolia Police Department. His employment with that agency ended in January 2020. Detectives also learned that Muse was employed by Magnolia Independent School District, possibly in transportation services, from March 2023 through April 2024. At the time of his arrest, Muse was employed as a school bus monitor for a school district in the Minden, Louisiana, area.

Precinct 3 detectives believe Muse may have been involved with youth groups in both Texas and Louisiana. Anyone with information regarding Brandon David Muse is asked to contact the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office at 281-364-4211 and request to speak with a detective.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
