Open Jam Wednesday at The Blue Lion Pub
Any and all musicians are welcome. You can perform by yourself or with your group in an open mic setting, and/or you can come and sit in with any of the musicians performing. This is a great way to network with local acts whether you’re just looking to get some stage time or looking for musicians to play with or looking to book gigs. Each Wednesday has grown in attendance so let’s keep the momentum going.

Houston Grand Opera at The Woodlands Children’s Museum
Enjoy the Houston Grand Opera’s Storybook presentation of “Hansel and Gretel” during Children’s Book Week. Step through the forest and into the enchanting world of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, a timeless adaptation of the Brothers Grimm tale that will captivate audiences of all ages. Brought to life by director/designer Antony McDonald in his company debut, this family-friendly production unfolds in a German romantic setting, full of dirndls, Alpine hats, and misty clouds. The composer’s whimsical, sophisticated melodies, derived from German nursery songs, will hold audiences spellbound as they join Hansel and Gretel on their dangerous journey to the realm where the Witch reigns from her house of cake, topped with a shining red cherry. Included in the price of admission.
